- Mark J. Carlotto's The Face on Mars page. The definitive page on the web. The info page is a good place to begin. You can find Dr. Carlotto's book, "The Martian Enigmas - A Closer Look: The Face, Pyramids and Other Unusual Objects on Mars," here.
- The McDaniel Report Newsletter.
This newsletter is a supplement to The McDaniel Report on research into the possibility of artificial objects on the surface of Mars. The purpose of The McDaniel Report and of the newsletter is to further the application of appropriate scientific methodology and conscientious attention to careful reasoning in the matter of whether there are signs of former intelligent activity on Mars. The editor of the newsletter, Professor Stanley V. McDaniel, is an independent evaluator having no affiliation with any organization or individual claiming to have "proof" that there are artificial objects on Mars. His book The McDaniel Report (North Atlantic Books, Berkeley, California, 1994) is a comprehensive presentation and evaluation of the case for Cydonia and of NASA's recalcitrance on that topic.
- New Research Suggests Artificiality
"In this renewed effort by independent scientists, several avenues of approach have been employed: geological, archaeological, image processing, and geometric measurement."- The Face on Mars by Sally Stephens, Astronomical Society of the Pacific, hosted by SFSU. The Universe in the Classroom, Fall 1993. A skeptical "scientific" look at the Martian anomalies. Very limited use of source and reference material.

- David Palermo has some beautiful enhanced Viking images at his Fantastic Worlds site. David has enhanced both Viking images F035A72 and F070A13. IMO, he has created some fascinating enhancements that are worthy of being studied even closer. The images are clear, crisp, and beckoning.
- Andrew MacRae's An Interesting Sandstone Outcrop. What if the face is just a surface feature caused by weathering and/or planetesimal impacts? Most scientists feel that this is the most likely explanation. Photograph by Rudi Meyer. Andrew also has a file called Ted's "pyramids", a lively debate between guess who.
